– Before his death, the late Nicholas Biwott really wanted to meet three people

– They include Cabinet Secretaries Charles Keter and Henry Rotich; and former president Daniel Moi

– With the ministers, he wanted to discuss undisclosed issues about his mega wealth spanning three countries

The late Nicholas Kipyator Biwott’s body was flown to Elgeyo Marakwet county on Wednesday, July 19, a week after he passed away at the Nairobi Hospital while receiving treatment for an illness he’d been suffering a while.

According to prior TUKO.co.ke, he collapsed in his house just before he could go to the hospital for a routine check up.

His funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 18, and in attendance was President Uhuru and opposition leader Raila Odinga as well as a host of dignitaries and leaders from across the political divide.

The late Biwott is survived by four wives; two of them foreign, and a number of children.

Speaking at Biwott Secondary Schoo in Toot, Keiyo, the late Biwott’s personal assistant, William Chepkut, told the Daily Nation on Wednesday, July 19, that there were three people the former minister really wanted to meet before he breathed his last.

“He really wanted to meet National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his Energy counterpart, Charles Keter. The late Biwott wanted to spell out some undisclosed issues on his mega investments in Kenya,” said Chepkut.

Aside from the cabinet ministers, the late Biwott was also planning a meeting with former president Daniel arap Moi.

“I’ve lost a close friend and a father. He mentored me politically and even encouraged me to vie for an elective seat,” concluded Chepkut.

The late Biwott’s wealth continues to remain a mystery considering he owns vast wealth across Kenya, Israel and Australia.

He has dabbled in real estate, aviation and in the hotel industry. He owns the Yaya Center in Nairobi’s upmarket Kilimani area, HZ Group of Companies, LZ Engineering and Lima Kenya which he co-owns with Daniel Moi.

He also owns the Premier Group of Companies and Kobil Petroleum among others.
