Obama Created His ‘Cartoon’ President

Life is nothing if not ironic.

As related in a new book by one of his former aides, Barack Obama, in his alleged shocked reaction to the election of Donald Trump, said: “Maybe this is what people want. I’ve got the economy set up well for him. No facts. No consequences. They can just have a cartoon.”

First, it’s telling that now out of office, Barack Obama’s famous ego still has him buying into the narrative created by the liberal media, the Democratic Party and his aides that he was a “successful” and “brilliant” president.

President Obama had, in reality, set up the economy to implode. He and his administration ignored endless “facts” and — thanks to their allies in the media, entertainment and academia — never faced any “consequences.”

More than that, Obama has parlayed his political Ponzi scheme into tens of millions of dollars for himself.

Now, as he hobnobs with his fellow ultrawealthy liberal Democrats, deep down, he knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that he and one other man are directly responsible for a “cartoon” becoming president of the United States.

Maybe that is why Obama is desperately trying to “coach” the potential 2020 Democrat candidates. He is consumed by guilt.

Back in 2011 at what is now the completely cratering White House Correspondents’ Dinner, host Seth Meyers — with President Obama playing the part of his smirking and self-satisfied accomplice — repeatedly savaged then-private-citizen Donald Trump with joke after joke.

The problem? Trump was sitting right there in the middle of the audience as the liberal media elite literally laughed in his face at the multiple jokes made only to demean him.

Truly mean-spirited jokes that then-private-citizen Trump rightfully labeled “nasty and out of order.”

Some describe Trump as sitting there stone-faced. Some describe him as fuming.

Many now say — including a number of liberals — that was the exact moment when Trump decided he was going to run for president. That the fire ignited in him that night helped fuel him all the way to the White House.

People who truly know Trump have described him as an incredibly fair and giving man. But one who also does not like to be wronged and who does have a long memory.

On that particular night — in total collusion — Meyers and Obama had one goal in mind. To try to humiliate private citizen Trump before a few thousand people in attendance and millions more who would watch on television.

It’s one thing for a second-rate comedian who literally 99% of the nation never watch to viciously inflict verbal abuse on someone sitting before him. It’s quite another for a sitting president to cravenly participate in such a rhetorical assault.

Instrument Of His Own Unraveling

Meyers seems to have owned up to his role in Trump running for president. Said Meyers on the Jimmy Fallon show: “It’s not the outcome I wanted, but that’s history. I got a man elected president.”

That was Meyers. Obama, on the other hand, is not known for liking to admit to mistakes.

With regard to Obama piling on Trump that night, Omarosa Manigault Newman, a former “Apprentice” contestant and later an official in the Trump White House, said in part: “It just kept going and going, and he just kept hammering him. And I thought, ‘Oh, Barack Obama is starting something that I don’t know if he’ll be able to finish.’ “

With Trump now president and helping to save our nation by rolling back one disastrous Obama policy after another, it’s clear that the former president not only could not finish something he started, but was the very instrument of his political unraveling.

In true Team Obama fashion, rather than take blame for anything, they sneer that Hillary Clinton was destined to lose anyway given that she was “part of a corrupt establishment that can’t be trusted to bring change.”

Seven years after going after Donald Trump, it’s clear that the ultimate joke is on Barack Obama. And those of us still clinging to our “guns or religion” really are having the last laugh.
