Volume Percent Change

A measure of the relationship between the most recent trading activity to the number of shares traded on an average daily basis (over the last 50 trading sessions).

When viewing this data item during a trading session, please note two important factors:

Volume data is presented on a 20-minute delay basis

Percentage change calculations are based on a projected volume figure.

The projected volume of a stock is based on the total number of shares traded and the time of day. After the market close, this data item is updated using reported closing volume numbers.
